The long awaited Clocktamers have arrived.
This means we can ship complete OpenBTS Desktop Development Kits.
These kits contain all hardware you need for running a GSM basestation (OpenBTS) from your Desktop, including an optimal calibratable 52 MHz sampleclock.
The only thing you need to add is a standard PC with the freely available openBTS software installed.

If you already have a USRP, it is possible to modify the USRP for external clock use and buy a seperate clocktamer.
The clocktamer can be built into the USRPcasing.
ClockTamer
ClockTamer is a low-cost small-size configurable clock generator. It is was specifically designed to be used with USRP, but nothing prevents you from using it with other device of your choice.
ClockTamer is an Open-Source Software and an Open-Source Hardware (OSH) project. All schematics, bill of materials and components placement are published at the ClockTamer project web-site.

New wideband daughterboard WBX
The new wideband daughterboard WBX is available.
This is a Transceiver daughterboard (can transmit and receive) and has a frequencyrange of 50 Mhz to 2200 Mhz.

HAR2009
We are at the HAR2009 from 10 to 17 AUgust 2009. We will give Gnuradio and USRP workshops and demonstrations. Everyone is welcome to visit us at Village:SDR. We will also be giving a Workshop Gnuradio in bike-shed Red on Saterdag 15 August 2009 at 19:00 hours.
During the HAR we are reachable by email but orders won't be shipped until we return at 17 August 2009.

The USRP (Universal Software Radio Peripheral) is the most used hardware component to do Software Defined Radio with GnuRadio.
The Universal Software Radio Peripheral, or USRP was developed by the Opensource Community to be used as wideband software radio in combination with a standard PC. In essence, the USRP functions as a digitale baseband and Intermediate Frequency Section of a Radio Communicatie System.
The Basic principle behind the USRP is that all waveform specific signal processing, like modulation, demodulation and filtering, is done in software on the host computer. All generic fast operations, like digital up- and downconversion, decimation and interpolation is done on the FPGA of the USRP.

On request I can also deliver modified special versions of the USRP which can do more then the standard USRP. It is also possible to have special firmwareversions developed.
